'Il Postino' with tenor Charles Castronovo at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion
The world premiere of “Il Postino” continues at the L.A. Opera this month. The man who sings the title role is Charles Castronovo. He’s a 35-year-old tenor who co-stars with the better-known Placido Domingo, who’s also general director of the opera company.
The new opera “Il Postino” continues through October 16 at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in downtown Los Angeles.
You may also hear Castronovo perform his selection of Neopolitan songs at Pepperdine University, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. That program is free.
[Audio: Hettie asked Castronovo how it felt the first time he took a bow alongside today’s biggest opera star.]
