7 great vinyl record shops in SoCal (Map)

There's something about listening to your favorite tracks on vinyl that feels wonderfully nostalgic. And today, the soothing sounds of the phonograph are more popular than ever. 

Whole Foods just began selling vinyl records. And this Record Truck is wheeling and dealing them. Classic bands are re-releasing albums on vinyl, while newer ones are relying on them as a portion of record sales.

At KPCC Thursday, we'll be hosting a free event that explores some of the greatest vinyl album covers. But in the meantime, we've compiled the best places to find 33s, 45s, and 78s in your hood:

7. The Last Bookstore

Expect much more than just books; this DTLA store now trades tons of vinyl records and has amassed quite the collection. See its Facebook page for new merchandise and to hear about great sales like: four LPs for .99 cents!
