How to navigate LA Metro's Green Line as 5 stations close for 2 months

Westside commuters who use Metro's Green Line should prepare for a protracted headache. The transit agency will close the five westernmost stations for 71 days beginning at 9 p.m. Friday.
The closures will allow construction crews to connect the Crenshaw/LAX Line to the Metro Green Line.
The closed stations are:
- Aviation/LAX
- Mariposa
- El Segundo
- Douglas
- Redondo Beach
How to get around in the meantime:
A free shuttle will take Green Line commuters to all of the closed stations from Hawthorne/Lennox Station. During peak hours, shuttles will run every five to seven minutes; off peak, every 15 to 20 minutes.

The regular LAX Shuttle G will also run from Hawthorne/Lennox Station rather than its usual location at Aviation/LAX.
One commuter, Ismael de la Rocha, shared his concern over the arrangement with our media partner NBC L.A..
"It's kind of difficult not knowing how the shuttles are actually going to work until you actually get on the shuttles and know what extra time you're going to have to take. We'll have to see on Monday how that works," he said.
All stations are expected to reopen on April 7.
