3 women rob convenience stores using a stun gun

Three women armed with stun guns robbed two convenience stores Thursday night, shocking a security guard who attempted to stop them.
A drug store in Temple City was hit first. Authorities suspect the group later hit an Arcadia grocer.
Arcadia Police Lt. Roy Nakamura told KPCC that stun guns are legal and easily bought over the counter, so they're “a convenient item to procure.”
“For a robbery, we’re all accustomed to weapons such as firearms or knives,” Nakamura said. “A stun gun is not that common, but it’s not all that strange or out of the ordinary.”
The store security officer who was shocked soon recovered without medical attention.
The suspects were last seen in a small, red four-door car with paper plates.
