A junior high teacher who was fired this week after administrators found out she appeared in porn says she's not going to take it lying down.

Science teacher Stacie Halas was fired after administrators figured out that the rumors that she had performed in a porn were true (once they figured out a way around the district's pesky web filter). Now Halas has lawyered up to challenge her dismissal, according to the Ventura County Star.

"The type of conduct she engaged in was lawful conduct in a business which, while others may disagree with its content, is very vibrant in both Los Angeles as well as the state of California," attorney Richard Schwab told the Star.

It turns out Halas wasn't exactly moonlighting to boost her income while she was teaching—she appeared in the video before she started teaching. Halas has 30 days to contest the decision and seek and administrative hearing.
