Jogger Killed While Trying To Rescue Dog From Traffic

Authorities report that a woman in Laguna Niguel was fatally struck by two cars on Sunday while trying to save a dog that was running through lanes of traffic at the intersection of Moulton Parkway and Crown Valley Parkway.
A spokesman from the Orange County Sheriff's Department said the woman was jogging around 11 a.m. with her teenage son, when they spotted the dog, reports KTLA. Two vehicles traveling northbound, driven by a 59-year-old male and a 56-year-old female, collided while trying to avoid the dog, sending a car into the path of the jogger.
The woman reportedly died at the scene and two others were taken to a hospital in unknown condition. The jogger's son was not hurt and the condition of the dog was unknown.
