Bird Strike Hits Joe Biden's Plane in Santa Barbara

Two or three birds gave their lives on Thursday evening so that Air Force Two could land at Santa Barbara Airport.A bird strike downed the plane Vice President Joe Biden was on just as it landed on Thursday, according to the New York Daily News. It's not clear what sort of bird downed the plane but fortunately no one was injured. Just to be safe Biden took a different plane on his way out of Santa Barbara on Friday morning so that Air Force Two could get a good inspection.
Biden made the trek to Montecito for a pricey $2,500/plate fundraiser, but he made time to stop the motorcade and pose with some school children who were excited to see the Veep.
