Kamera @ SYNC Nettwerk.

As soon as I walked into SYNC at Nettwerk, I instantly spotted the Swedish Rockers. Slim, attractive, attired in chic black outfits and polite. The night proved that there is more to Swedish music then ABBA.

Kamera performed for their first time in the U.S and were quite enduring with an eagerness to please. Their pop music was reminiscent of The Cure and Pet Shop Boys; which made me wish I wore more black eyeliner for the evening. The Perishers melodic lyrics and synthesized keyboards impressed my friend Jonathan (a mastering engineer) enough to want to buy their album; even though there was a free cd in the gift bag.

Kamera’s album "Resurrection" was released digitally on August 28, 2007 (find it on ITunes) and will be out physically on February 8, 2008 available stateside on Nettwerk. If you didn’t catch these guys this time around they’ll be back in February, so mark your calendar. For more info check out their myspace page.

The Perishers new album “Victorious” is now available released on Nettwerk. For those who missed them on Thursday, they will be performing at the Knitting Factory, Friday September 7, 2007. Doors open at 7pm. Be sure to get there early since they’re on first, you don't want to miss them.
