'Hunky Santa' Won't Stop His Sleigh at Beverly Center This Year

Sad news for shoppers who like a little hunk with their newly-purchased junk. The Beverly Center has opted not to employ a "Hunky Santa," this holiday season, according to ABC7. The mid-city shopping outpost says "Hunky just doesn't fit the mall's luxury image," anymore. Usually the mall would hire a fit, handsome young man to play the role--such was the cheeky tradition for the past nine years. Christmas at the Beverly Center can be quite a spectacle; last year during the "Hunky Santa and the Candy Cane Girls" act an aerialist fell in a freak accident captured on video.
