Here Are Your Labor Day Weekend DUI Checkpoints

It's Labor Day Weekend, which means another round of DUI checkpoints!Ah, yes, another holiday weekend. You know the drill: we give you the DUI checkpoints, you accuse us of trying to help drunk drivers get away with it, we remind you that LAPD Chief Beck told us that when the media publishes checkpoints, it actually decreases drunk driving by reminding people that there are consequences for their actions.
"People having foresight aren't the ones who are committing this crime," LAPD Chief Charlie Beck told LAist. "People who are thinking ahead aren't the ones that this checkpoint is likely to catch. I think that the publicity surrounding these things is so important that if you give a couple of locations, that's fine."
This is also not a complete list of checkpoints, so avoiding these will not successfully route you around them. So, be safe and remember to call for a ride, use a ride-sharing app, get a DD or use Metro.
