An anonymous Craigslist rant takes on the hateful nature of Los Angeles--especially the tony Brentwood--and asks that all the haters leave: "If you wanna stay be fucking nice," she exclaims. In fact, she's so fed up, she's going out of her way to get revenge. It's amusing. "Everyone in this city mistreats eachother, its disgusting. It doesnt matter what color they are, they are dicks. In fact, I make a point now of going into places like Brentwood, where the people are the fucking rudest, most self-important assholes ever, and I like to stroll through the market aisles, take my time parking, fiddle in my purse for my wallet...its fucking juvenile, but I definitely take my sweet ass time crossing the street when its my right of way. These people need to be shamed." What do you think? Is Los Angeles a mean town or just as mean as any city?

Los Angeles is a hateful place... (everybody GET OUT) Date: 2009-08-04, 7:26PM PDT I love my city, I was born and raised here. I never ever understood what people meant when I'd travel and they'd pucker their faces at me when I said where I was from. I was fucking proud. It's a great city, with beautiful weather, oceans, nightlife, music, mountains, green! I never really got it. NOW I DO.

In the last couple of years or so I've noticed that this is the fucking rudest city in the U.S. I've traveled to NYC plenty of times, nope its us, hands down. Just in my day today, I've encountered several assholes, who were tailgating, honking, giving the finger. Man what's the hurry? Leave a little bit earlier...One cunt had the nerve to stare me down when we got out of our cars in the same lot, like we were gonna fight or something lol. When we met at the elevator, she was a little different. See, I may look a little tough, but Im the fucking nicest chic you'll ever meet. I smile all the time at people, make conversation (not intrusive and in personal space, just friendly), and I do what I can to let people in front of me in cars, let pedestrians have the right of way, let old people go first, hold the door for people, say thank you and please...what the fuck is hard about that? I told this woman who was about to take off, that she left her coffee on the roof of her car, and she looked like she might faint, she thanked me like 1000 times. This just seems normal, not heroic or anything.

Everyone in this city mistreats eachother, its disgusting. These people need to be shamed.

I've realized that growing up here, I didnt deal with this bullshit at all. Because I was surrounded by others who grew up here, so this leads me to believe that is the endless amounts of foreigners, domestic or international that have turned this city to shit. And btw, I dont hate on the rich, but why are they the fucking biggest assholes here? Why is it that in the richer neighborhoods, the people are so irritating and self righteous? Seriously, spend a minnte talking to the people who have to work in these neighborhoods and they will tell you that its one humiliating experience after another. Then a nice person goes to the establishment and the worker hates you. When Im nice to people, let's say at Peets Coffee in Brentwood, I get like free cookies. Its not because theyre so nice, its because IM so nice, thats the shit they have to deal with all day.

Please dont tell me to leave or get out. This is MY city, I belong here. If you wanna stay be fucking nice...
