Grease/Taxi Actor Jeff Conaway ODs, Hospitalized In A Coma
60-year-old actor Jeff Conaway, known for his role on the TV series "Taxi" and as Kenickie in the 1978 musical "Grease," is hospitalized in a coma following a drug overdose, possibly from pain pills, according to his manager Phil Brock, reports the Associated Press.
He was found unconscious on May 11 and is hospitalized in an Encino hospital in critical condition. His recovery is uncertain, reports the AP. Conaway, in 2008, publicly discussed his drug and alcohol addiction on "Celebrity Rehab."
His manager described Conaway as a "gentle soul" but one who has been unable to "exorcise his demons."
