Free Taxi To The Polls! Election Day Bonus In Some LA Areas

A number of taxicab companies will be offering free rides to the public on Tuesday as Los Angeles voters head to the polls to decide the fate of several City Council seats and a number of ballot measures in the March 8th city election.
Voters interested in hitching a free ride should call 800-808-7293 with the location of their local polling place and provide the dispatcher with the code "Account Vote." Participating fleets in the South Bay and on the Westside are South Bay Yellow Cab, United Checker Cab and Yellow Cab Co, reports the Daily Breeze.
