Billionaire Warren Buffet is bringing some sweet treats to the auction table this year. The 82-year-old owner of the Berkshire company is offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the winner to take a Willy Wonka-esque tour of the See's Candy Factory here in L.A.
We were lucky enough to take a tour of the factory earlier this year, and can vouch that it's an incredible experience. Of course the real draw for bidders is that they might get a chance to pick the brain of the man and mogul himself.
Says the Mercury News:
Bidding had already reached $30,000 by Monday, but it remains to be seen whether the final price of this auction will rival the annual auction of lunch with Buffett which routinely tops $1 million... Buffett says he'll teach the auction winner the proper way to eat a bonbon during the half-day tour. Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway conglomerate has owned See's Candy since 1972, and he spends hours munching on See's treats while answering questions at Berkshire's annual meetings.
