The Library Bar's Matt Biancaniello Bows Out
We're going to pour out a little Italian Greyhound for the Library Bar's loss of Matt Biancaniello, who announced his resignation last night. Biancaniello is one of L.A.'s top barmen, and arguably the most prominent figure in the farm-to-table bar movement here. Known for his hand-crafted cocktails that were tailored to each guest, Biancaniello garnered press for the bar from far and wide. He stood at his post behind the bar for over four years.
We noticed a few lamenting Facebook posts last night, and Eater LA confirmed the story this morning. No word on where Biancaniello will be heading next, but he's got a rockstar team -to take the reigns, including Chris Hewes, Alex Frost, and Danvy Pham. We wish Matty B and the new team the best of luck.
