'Chick-For-Gay' Sandwich is Back, Just in Time for the Supreme Court
Remember all the commotion last year when Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy came out with his outwardly anti-gay sentiments, and good ol' Mike Huckabee declared a "National Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day?" The Abbey over in West Hollywood didn't take that one lying down, and created aChick-For-Gay sandwich in response to all of the hullabaloo, and now the sammie is back in honor of today's Supreme Court appeal.
As with the first chicken sandwich deal, all of the proceeds go to the American Foundation for Equal Rights (AFER), who is arguing at the Supreme Court this week in support of marriage equality. (You can listen to audio of their hearing here.)
The sandwich will be available through the end of the week, and is made up of a seasoned breaded boneless chicken breast served on a toasted buttered bun with pickles. It goes for $5, and if you'd like you can throw in a bottle of water for $1. Or you could get started on happy hour early. Whatevers clever.
