Koreatown's Newest Craft Beer Bar Soft Opens Today
Koreatown has a new beer bar, serving up craft brews and snacks. Koreatown has Beer Belly over on Western and 6th, and now they've got Southland Beer just down the road at Western and near 8th, tucked into a strip mall. They'll be opening today at 5 p.m., according to Orchid Mazurkiewicz, who is helming the bar along with her husband, Tim Strum.
Mazurkiewicz told LAist that while they're just getting their bearings for this soft open, they should have about 10 beers on tap tonight with more tomorrow. A few beers you can expect now include Smog City's Weird Beer and Grape Ape, Modern Times' Aurora and Pizza Port's Pick Six Pilsner. Eventually, they should have about 19 beers on tap. They also do bottles to go!
Tomorrow, they should begin serving some fun bar snacks and desserts.
Southland Beer is located at 740 S. Western Ave., 112 in Koreatown.
