'Saved By The Bell'-Themed Pop Up Diner Is Coming To L.A.
Get ready for a blast of nostalgia, Los Angeles. Saved By The Max, a pop-up diner based on Saved By The Bell's iconic hangout spot The Max, is moving to L.A. after spending a year in Chicago.
“The journey of Saved by The Max never fails to amaze us,” Derek Berry, one of Saved By The Max's partners, said in a statement. “To see it evolve from fan idea turned overnight social media craze, to an entire sold out year of operations in Chicago, and now coming full circle with a move to the show’s hometown of LA is nothing short of a dream come true for us all. It’s a real testament to the enduring popularity and legacy of the show.”
No opening date or location has been set for the pop-up, yet, but for fans in Chicago, drop-in appearances by Principal Belding actor Dennis Haskins, and A.C. Slater actor Mario Lopez were an added surprise. (Our fingers are crossed for a Mark-Paul Gosselaar/Tiffani-Amber Thiessen reunion.)
Expect the pop-up to serve diner fare including Tori’s Fried Chicken, A.C. Sliders, Mac & Screech, Bayside Burger, Preppy BLT, and the Kelly Kapowski monte cristo, as well as a yet-to-be-announced line-up of drinks.
Follow @savedbythemax on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to get more updates, and future city schedules as the pop-up continues its national tour.
