Chef Ludo Lefebvre, who you may know from Trois Mec, is opening up a fried chicken joint at Universal City Walk this weekend. On Saturday at 11 a.m., LudoBird will open up at tourist haven Universal City Walk, serving up fried chicken, sides and sauces, according to a release. LudoBird takes the place of Jody Maroni's Sausage Kingdom, according to Inside Universal, and should add a little excitement to the area's chain-heavy dining options.

The restaurant started out with a truck called LudoTruck, then expanded to a brick and mortar location inside the Staples Center in 2013. Expect fried chicken sandwiches and strips, sides like lavender biscuits and slaw, and plenty of dipping sauces.

Universal Studios also has that new pedestrian bridge connecting Universal Studios to the Red Line, opening in early April to coincide with the official launch of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
