3 Ways To Eat Your Way Through The Weekend

The weekend is so close you can practically taste it. Here are the edible events going on in the next few days to keep you occupied -- and sated, for that matter.

Movember at Hotel Erwin: Been digging on all the mustachioed men out there this month? Then this Saturday, Hotel Erwin in Venice Beach will be the spot for you. They'll be hosting the Stouts N Staches Fest from 2-8 p.m., a block-party style event in celebration of Movember including $5 craft beers and food specials. There'll be a DJ, live band, beer garden, free shaves, photo booth and more. A portion of proceeds from the event will be donated to the Movember Foundation. For more info visit their site here.

Typhoon Relief Bake Sale At CoolHaus:Want to help raise some dough for a sweet cause? The folks at Eat My Blog have you covered. On Saturday, the blogger-hosted charity bake sale will be organizing an event at Pasadena CoolHaus where proceeds will go directly Philippine Red Cross and the relief effort for Typhoon Haiyan victims. Over 25 food bloggers, writers, chefs, and members of the food community will donate sweets to be sold at Pasadena's Cool Haus location. There will also be cream cheese pumpkin bars courtesy of Animal and Son of a Gun and a savory waffle corndog from Night + Market. Additional restaurants that have offered donations include Republique, Chef Roy Choi, Sotto, The Tasting Kitchen, Crème Caramel, Le Bon Garcon, Whoa Nelly Catering, Good Girl Dinette, Park's Finest, Vintage Enoteca, The Hart & the Hunter, Xoia, Short Cake, and Pastry Chef Susan Yoon. "Doctor Who Party" and Screening at the Cat & Fiddle: The British sci-fi show "Doctor Who" is celebrating its 50th anniversary this month, and Brits in L.A. is toasting at Cat & Fiddle Restaurant and Pub with a festive menu that includes a "Bigger on the Inside" burger and themed cocktails like Racnoss Rum and Sontaran Surprise. The event, which kicks off at 10:30 a.m., will include guest appearances from host Sandro Monetti and actress Tessa Shaw. The party costs $15 per person.
