We have a love/hate relationship with hump day. On one hand, the week is halfway over, and it's an excuse for wine Wednesday. On the other hand, the week is only halfway over. Which is why we need a drink. Preferably a cheap one, since pay day isn't for another couple.

Enter Pasadena Happy Hour Week, which started on Monday and goes thru next Friday. So technically that's two weeks, but we're not complaining. During the festivities, Old Pasadena's restaurants, bars and lounges are offering extended food and drink specials. From $1 martinis at Equator and $2 beers at Pita Jungle to 50% off well drinks and cheap apps at Slater's 50/50 and $3 gourmet sushi at Sushi Roku and Kabuki, there's plenty to check out.

There'll be live musical performances at plenty of the bars, and some are even offering discounts if you present your Metro ticket. (Gotta party responsibly, right?)

For more info, you can check out their site. Or just stumble into a bar and see what's up. Either way.
