Our June member drive is live: protect this resource!
Right now, we need your help during our short June member drive to keep the local news you read here every day going. This has been a challenging year, but with your help, we can get one step closer to closing our budget gap. Today, put a dollar value on the trustworthy reporting you rely on all year long. We can't hold those in power accountable and uplift voices from the community without your partnership.

As the holidays approach, it's time to start thinking about forking over some money for gifts. But if you're like us, there's no way in heck you'll get caught in the Black Friday craziness next week, especially if you want to come out unscathed. If you want to make it out of the holiday shopping season alive, you might consider the Epicure Imports warehouse sale in North Hollywood.

They're putting steep discounts on all sorts of stuff, from cheeses and vinegars to fancy olive oils and jams tomorrow form 12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m., though sadly there won't be any inclusion of foie gras pateas there was last year. If you can't play hooky from work, they'll be going strong through Saturday too, from 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
