Drew Barrymore's a Wino Winemaker!
Actress Drew Barrymore can add one more credit to her impressive resume: Winemaker. "Barrymore Pinot Grigio is actress Drew Barrymore's tribute to her wine-loving family," notes Food Republic.
The vino, which retails for $16.99, is available locally at K&L, and L.A. I'm Yours has already picked up a bottle, chilled it, and then chilled out with it. So is it swill-able? The wine is "[a] delight. It was so surprisingly good. It’s light and refreshing and so extremely drinkable. It’s crisp and fruity-but not sweet."
Barrymore, 37, seems quite pleased with her boozy endeavor (much different than her childhood boozy endeavors, which landed the talented youngster from the famous acting family in rehab); recently, she served the wine at her own engagement party, natch.
Taste aside, Barrymore's Pinot Grigio has another cool factor: The label. Food Republic explains:
Designed by famed art provocateur Shepard Fairey through his firm Studio Number One, the newly released wine features a Barrymore family crest to lend a certain feeling of heritage to the bottle.
Say now, that heritage isn't alcoholism, is it? We kid, we kid. Cheers to you, Drew!
