Good Girl Dinette Hosts Labor Day Pop-Up Pie Shop
Labor Day picnics wouldn't be the same without pie, but considering the heat wave has caught its second wind, you might not want to be baking any time soon. Thankfully, Diep Tran of the Good Girl Dinettewill be hosting a pop-up pie shop this coming Monday in Highland Park for all your picnicking needs.
We love the crust on her Vietnamese pot pie, and can imagine that the sweet versions will be just as delightful. Tran will be baking peach, plum, and gala rose apple pies using produce from K&K Ranch, each for $25. Maybe take some notes, too, as KCRW's 4th annual Good Food pie contest is coming up next weekend. (You can enter that one here.)
