What's going on lately in the L.A food scene? Chew on this:

Thanksgiving Burger @GO Burger
If you're looking for an alternative to the plate of sliced turkey and all the sides, but still a way to gobble (gobble) the flavors of Thanksgiving, GO Burger has a special burger on the menu right now through the weekend. It's an Organic Turkey Burger topped with Caramelized Onion Stuffing, Sweet Potato Mash, Spiced Cranberry Sauce, and Rosemary Gravy. ($11) Previously: Spiked Milkshakes & Tasty Burgers Await You at Go Burger.

Beers for the Holidays @The Tripel
The Tripel in Playa Del Rey is offering five beers they say are perfect for the holidays. They say they pair well with turkey, and can also take the edge off your Black Friday blues. We're liking the sound of the Ommegang Adoration (Belgian style winter ale with spices and orange peel) and the Craftsman Edgar's Ale (Russian imperial stout with hints of coffee and toffee that emit heavy malt and smoky aromas). Also on tap: Victory Otto, Stone Vertical Epic 11.11.11, and N'Ice Chouffe.

Fashion-Themed Cocktails for Santa Monica Shoppers @Locanda del Lago
A set of stylish cocktails are launching Friday at Locanda del Lago (they're the folks who made a special drink to honor George Clooney). From Black Friday through New Year’s Eve, Santa Monica shoppers who show a same-day local retail store receipt can receive the restaurant’s artisanal farmers’ market cocktails—including the new Italian fashion designer-themed drinks for the winter season at happy hour pricing ($9 each; one-liter carafes for $20). There's The Armani, The Gucci, The Prada, and The Versace--but we'd order The Missoni (Market citrus, Theia Organic Jasmine Liqueur, and 4 Copas Tequila).

The Bazaar @ The SLS Named one of the Top 10 Hotel Restaurants in America
The Daily Meal has given The Bazaar, Jose Andres' mecca of molecular gastronomy, at the SLS Hotel a place on their list of the Top 10 Hotel Restaurants in America. If you're looking for a special occasion spot, you might want to try their whimsical (American caviar cone, cotton candy duck liver, and the "Organized Caesar" salad) eats.

Champagne & Oysters Paired Up at Public Next Month

Both East Coast and West Coast oyster varieties will rotate daily based on market availability. To go with the oysters, they'll be offering a selection of top tier champagne and sparkling wine by the glass ranging from $10 to 29 per glass, or $35 to $140 per bottle. Runs December 1-31, 2011; Dinner service only: 5:30 p.m.-10:00 p.m., Sunday-Thursday 5:30 p.m.-Midnight, Friday-Saturday.

Fine Dining in Rancho Cucamonga? Ra Pour Now Open
If you've ever dined in Rancho Cucamonga (and we have, believe it or not, and not really on purpose) you might be skeptical to learn that a new fine dining establishment has opened its doors there. Ra Pour, in Victoria Gardens, hopes to "breathe new life into the Inland Empire." Diners are due for a "luxe dining experience" we're told, from a menu of dishes that use "indulgent ingredients, global influences and classic Americana." Dishes include Lobster Pops, Kobe Carpaccio, Chicken & Waffles, or Duck Bolognese. Plus: Bottle service! Live DJs! Valet!
