Truth matters. Community matters. Your support makes both possible. LAist is one of the few places where news remains independent and free from political and corporate influence. Stand up for truth and for LAist. Make your year-end tax-deductible gift now.

Fans of Chef Thomas Keller and Bouchon can finally get their daily bread (and other sweet and savory baked goodies) on Tuesday, August 16th,Wednesday, August 17th, when the eagerly-awaited Bouchon Bakery opens up in Beverly Hills. The Bakery, an off-shoot of the enterprise in Yountville, California, and New York City, and Las Vegas, will be located next to Bar Bouchon and underneath Bouchon Bistro.

Back when Bouchon opened up in L.A. in 2009, we got to peek into Bouchon's vast BH operation, which includes a full break bakery and a patisserie where they produce Keller's beloved treats. Though they have done a "pop-up" temporary Bakery there before, the goal has long been to get an actual Bakery in place and running. Huzzah, the wait is over!

Breads, muffins, tarts, cookies, sandwiches, and Bouchon's signature chocolate Bouchon ("cork") and other packaged items will be available at the Bakery.

8/15/11 Ed. note: We learned over the weekend Bouchon Bakery will open to the public a day later than originally reported.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive before year-end will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
