BondSt Hits Beverly Hills
A sexy new NYC restaurant import is hitting Beverly Hills: Bond St, the brainchild of New York entrepreneur Jonathan Morr. BondSt is offering up modern Euro-Japanese cuisine in a sexy brown-leather setting (EaterLA has a few pics up here).
The swank new space, inside the Thompson Hotel on the corner of Wilshire and Crescent, features "30 seats, outdoor dining, a sushi bar and an exclusive second floor Bond Street lounge with private library alcove....the restaurant's ground floor bar and lounge invites patrons with a subdued dining room and lively indoor-outdoor patio seating amidst ivy-covered walls."
A few more tidbits from the press release: the menu promises "Japanese cuisine nuanced with European influences....innovative sushi dishes and stylish hot entrees including Seared Tuna and Foie Gras with Asian Pear Chutney and exotic sushi varieties such as Amberjack and Japanese Red Snapper." The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (the lunch menu features trendy dishes like a Kobe beef burger and a "crispy rice sandwich"), and the lounge stays open until 1am. Any good desserts? You bet: "Valrhona Chocolate Fondue for two, Banana Milk Chocolate Dim Sum, and a Ricotta Cup with Yamamomo Granite. "
