Poke bowls are all the rage right now, but one Santa Ana restaurant is putting their own spin on the Hawaiian dish—by serving it on a bed of french fries.

MAR is a seafood joint in Santa Ana's 4th Street Market food hall that opened up earlier this year. They serve dishes like poke bowls and ceviche with a Latin-meets-Asian culinary flare, but two of their items caught our attention. Their Cali Poke Bowl is french fries topped with ahi poke, pico de gallo, avocado, green onions, garlic and furikake. They also have the Pokelocos Bowl with Tapatio lime fries topped with spicy ahi poke, jicama, Japanese peanuts, chamoy and Tajin (Mexican spices and seasoning). Whoa. This could be a game changer.

MAR is located at 201 E. 4th St., Ste. 137, Santa Ana, (714) 425-8233. The Cali Poke Bowl and Pokelocos Bowl cost $9.75 each.
