626 Night Market Expands And Heads To Santa Anita Park
The 626 Night Market is heading east to Arcadia and expanding to become a 2-night event next month.
The third 626 Night Market will be heading from near Pasadena City Hall to the infield area of the Santa Anita Racetrack on Saturday October 20 and Sunday October 21. The event will last from 3 pm until 12 am on Saturday and 3 pm until 10 pm on Sunday, according to a release from the organizers. The event will continue to be free, and there will be DJs, a dance floor, performances and games.
The first 626 Night Market got off to a rocky start since the organizers weren't prepared for the popularity of the vent. But during this last event in July, it appears that the organizers worked out the kinks, making sure that there was plenty of parking and vendors to sate the masses. Organizers said 40,000 people showed up last time. Attendees of the Arcadia event next month won't be able to take the Gold Line as with the last event, but there is plenty of parking: 10,000 spaces.
The organizers are coordinating with the city of Arcadia and Santa Anita Racetrack. Santa Anita CEO Mark Verge said in a statement, "The 626 Night Market team realizes we're a perfect venue for them and we are honored to be in a position to welcome and accommodate them. This is a great opportunity for all of us and we are going to do everything we need to do to ensure that those who come here will have a great experience."
