FlyAway Plans New Bus Service From Expo's La Brea Station
Good news for anyone living near the Expo Line who needs a ride to the airport: the La Brea Station will be getting its own FlyAway express bus service to LAX.
There isn't a set timeline for when the new stop will open. Both the Metro and LAWA boards have to approve the new stop, according to LA Streetsblog. But if and when that happens, the service should start almost immediately.
The city-run Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) wants to open a FlyAway route at the relatively new Expo Line stop in order to reach its goal of expanding to nine routes in the city by 2015
That's been kind of tricky so far since Coach America, the operator of the Westwood and Irvine lines (which escaped discontinuation) declared bankruptcy. LAWA opened up the contract and awarded it to a new operator Corinthian.
