A Sig Alert remains in effect for all Westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway at Crenshaw Boulevard this morning following a fiery car crash that left one person dead.
The crash took place at around 4:46 this morning, according to the Daily Breeze, and involved two vehicles. "One person died at the scene, one person suffered serious injuries and three people suffered minor injuries," the LAFD is reporting. Following impact, one of the vehicles involved "became engulfed in flames."
The California Highway Patrol is continuing their investigation, and the freeway closure has had a dramatic effect on the morning commute in the area, with "backed up for at least two miles." Additionally, Metro Line 439 is delayed because of the closure.
