Video: Lindsay Lohan Thanks Idiots Who Filled Tabloids During Her Rehab

One year ago, Congress defunded public media. Now that we're 100% community funded, please become a sustaining member or increase your existing membership today.

As part of her comeback tour, Lindsay Lohan hosted Chelsea Lately last night. And she was really cute and seemed like she had it together!

In the monologue, she joked, "Chelsea's not here, but I did see someone who looked like her moving into my old room at Cliffside," a reference to the rehab center in Malibu Lohan stayed in for 90 days. Lohan said, "So I've been through a lot lately, and I've got a lot of people to thank for that, most notably the celebrities who kept the tabloid industry alive in my absence." Namely some males who have attracted unwanted attention for sending more dongshots, celebrity birthing and paparazzi assaults, peeing in kitchens, and being born into a fading aristocracy:

EW praised her:

"Chalk it up to the benefit of lowered expectations: Lindsay Lohan guest-hosted Chelsea Lately last night, and it was one of her best television appearance in the past few years... Of course, that’s not saying much. But compared to her Matt Lauer interview/Saturday Night Live hosting gig in March 2012, where it seemed like nerves got the best of her, the actress looked healthy, landed a few good punchlines and, most encouragingly for Lohan fans, appeared genuinely happy to be in front of a camera that wasn’t tracking her movements in and out of a courthouse."

One year ago, Congress voted to defund public media, eliminating a critical $1.7 million from our budget every year going forward. But they couldn’t silence us, and we’re not going anywhere. LAist is now 100% community funded and that means we’re taking our future into our own hands and turning to you to keep local reporting strong.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our nonprofit newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit.
