Video: Helping Comics Are The World
Despite a lack of demand, "We Are The World" is back.
This is all thanks to the charitable efforts of Scott Aukerman (LAist Interview) and a host of comedians who regularly perform at Aukerman's Comedy Death-Ray show at the UCB Theatre in Hollywood. Actor Kurt Russell (of "Captain Ron" fame) also lent his pipes.
Enjoy the vocal efforts the Comedy Death-Ray Xmas Nativity Choir (not all of which sound good) a.k.a. Sarah Silverman, Weird Al Yankovic, Thomas Lennon, Paul Scheer, Kate Micucci, Riki Lindhome, Brett Gelman, Jon Daly, Casey Wilson, Jen Kirkman, Aimee Mann, Matt Braunger, Rich Sommer, Paul F Tompkins, Chris Hardwick, Jimmy Pardo and more.
Last year, the bunch released a version of "Do They Know It's Christmas?" Like that effort, this years' aims to help the LA Foodbank via donations and proceeds from a Christmas comedy CD.
