As rumors swirl that the Dodgers might be trading food blogger and right fielder Andre Ethier, Tommy Lasorda is busy giving away something else: holiday hams.

Lasorda, the Hall of Fame manager who coached the Dodgers from 1977 through 1996, will be giving out 300 hams this evening from 5-7 p.m. in the parking lot of Dodger Stadium.

Lasorda will join Dodger alums Bobby Castillo, "Sweet" Lou Johnson, and Paul Lo Duca in partnering up with Farmer John, Ralphs/Food 4 Less, Los Angeles City Councilmembers Ed P. Reyes, Eric Garcetti, the Citizen’s Committee to Save Elysian Park (CCSEP), Greater Echo Park Elysian Neighborhood Council (GEPENC) and the Echo Park Improvement Association (EPIA) for the porky giveaway.

At least he's not giving away the Slim Fast he shilled for several years. Drinking diet shakes is no way to celebrate a holiday.
