The Dodgers Are in First Place
Earlier in the evening the Dodgers beat the Toronto Blue Jays 14-5. The Arizona Diamondbacks just lost to the Chicago Cubs 4-2.
The Dodgers are all alone in first place in the NL West for the very first time this season.
On June 22 the Dodgers were 31-42 and 9 1/2 games behind the Diamondbacks. I was ready to bury the team, eviscerate them when they got back home that next homestand. Then they started winning.
One month later the Dodgers are 51-47 with a 1/2 game lead in the NL West.
