It's Getting Hot In Here: Skydivers Take Off (Almost) All Their Clothes
After Jennifer Hoffman, 32, and Marisa Gallegos, 33, both went through the worst years of their lives, they teamed up to challenge themselves to live boldly. One of those endeavors involved skydiving, and right before they were about to jump near Lake Elsinore, the two women realized how hot it was. The stripped down to their underwear, jumped out of the plane, and now, they're encouraging other women to do the same.
"Jumping out of that plane was an external sign of an internal shift," said Hoffman. "It was about facing fear."
On November 17, the women will jump again, and this time, they're taking seven other women with them. In a project called "Be Bold," they'll repeat the jump and will select one woman with a great story to go along. Women who want to take the leap can fill out the contest form on Hoffman and Gallegos' website -- they run a photography studio together -- and from there, a winner will be selected.
Hoffman notes that the project is all about reclaiming your life and going out of your comfort zone.
"It’s the ultimate sign of freedom," she said, "because you’re flying."
