In other parts of the country (I'm looking at you, New York), there seems to be a gross misunderstanding about the way Angelenos live. The myth goes something like this: We wake up at 11:00 a.m., throw on some oversized sunglasses and head to an audition. Then we leisurely make our way to the gym, where we spend the remainder of the day doing squats.

But we know as well as you do that that's not true. Why, even as we speak, many of you are probably sitting at your desk desperately clutching your stained coffee mug, watching the hours tick by until you can head home to your one-bedroom apartment where you'll drink wine and watch reruns of "30 Rock" like a normal person.

So to celebrate this everyday life of yours, and also because we're kind of voyeuristic, we want to see where you work. Take a picture of your cubicle and send it in to us at or tweet it to us @LAist with the hashtag #MyLACubicle, and we'll put together a gallery. Then we will send it to the New York Times, as a fun reminder that we actually can and do, like, work out here.
