Octomom's Self-Pleasuring Porn Up For 4 Awards
Finally some good news for Nadya "Octomom" Suleman and her career efforts: The controversial single mom of 14 can now boast that her solo porn video has been nominated for a handful of Adult Video News (AVN) Awards.
Suleman "has been nominated for Best Celebrity Sex Tape, Best Solo Release, Best DVD Extras, and Best Marketing Campaign," reports the Huffington Post, for her porn debut.
"Octomom: Home Alone" features Nadya Suleman showering, laying on a leopard-print bed or doing chores like ironing surrounded by baby paraphernalia. The movie was released in June, following much titillating fanfare.
“I’m totally honored and blown away to even be nominated," Suleman told The Huffington Post, adding: "It was a fun and life changing experience for me to make the movie.”
Indeed, Suleman high-fived herself for doing the movie since it helped her and her substantial brood into a new rented home in Palmdale. (It didn't take long for the home to be an egging target for haters.)
Lest you think it was all fun and games determining nominees for the awards, AVN explains the laborious effort:
A committee of 10 AVN critics spent close to a month and a half compiling nominations in over 130 categories recognizing companies, talent, technicians and creative professionals across the spectrum of the adult entertainment industry.
The awards take place in Las Vegas in January. And Seth McFarlane will NOT be hosting.
At LAist, we believe in journalism without censorship and the right of a free press to speak truth to those in power. Our hard-hitting watchdog reporting on local government, climate, and the ongoing housing and homelessness crisis is trustworthy, independent and freely accessible to everyone thanks to the support of readers like you.
But the game has changed: Congress voted to eliminate funding for public media across the country. Here at LAist that means a loss of $1.7 million in our budget every year. We want to assure you that despite growing threats to free press and free speech, LAist will remain a voice you know and trust. Speaking frankly, the amount of reader support we receive will help determine how strong of a newsroom we are going forward to cover the important news in our community.
We’re asking you to stand up for independent reporting that will not be silenced. With more individuals like you supporting this public service, we can continue to provide essential coverage for Southern Californians that you can’t find anywhere else. Become a monthly member today to help sustain this mission.
Thank you for your generous support and belief in the value of independent news.
