Lakers defeated Celtics 89-67. I'm going to get drunk now.

Fourth Quarter2:08 So we're going to have a Game 7. I think I have a tear in my eye.

Rafael Furcal hit a shoe-top single for his fourth hit of the game in the sixth inning. Power hitter Micah Owings now pitching.

3:21 Kobe now out of the game to a standing ovation. Now we have the procession of exiting starters.

3:48 Mark Jackson said the most sensible thing. Take the starters out Phil Jackson!

4:14 Sidenote: Why did Torre send Hiroki Kuroda back out after a very long rain delay? That can't be good.

4:58 C'mon guys. The game is over. No more fouls!!!

Blake DeWitt catches the pop up in foul territory to preserve the lead. Top of the sixth!

By the way the Dodgers lead the Reds 6-0 although the Reds have the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth with two outs and Brandon Philips at the plate against Hiroki Kuroda.

6:05 It's so sad that after an entertaining three quarters the game has quickly devolved into this. Um. So who liked that Eminem commercial?

6:31 A technical foul on Kobe Bryant. How many does he have in the playoffs now?

7:24 It looks like it's garbage time now for the game. Bad shots, killing the clock. Shall I stretch out now? By the way, Time Warner Cable is back up again.

8:58 So a Nate Robinson field goal give the Celtics their first bench points of the game. Lakers lead 80-54. I think we can make plans for Thursday night.

And everything is back online with Time Warner Cable. Sorry for my diatribe. But my neighbors heard the worst of it as I was running around my apartment. However the Lakers still hold a commanding lead. Oh never mind. Cable went back out.

Lakers lead 76-51. Despite Time Warner Cable here in the South Bay dropping all channels, thankfully we have beautiful pirates out there so I can watch the game. The Lakers bench has outscored the Celtics bench 24-0.

Third QuarterThank you Time Warner Cable for your shitty service dropping in the middle of the game. Not only has the cable channels been out all day, not the broadcast stations has been out.

You have got to be shitting me. Fuck you Time Warner Cable. Fuck you really hard and bloody.

5:15 A botched alley-oop pass leads to the dunk of the series by Shannon Brown!

5:28 So this fireworks bullshit could be the reason things are a bit slippery on the floor.

6:21 Great defense by Gasol! Sidenote: I wonder if the Kings ice is still underneath the hardwood because it looks awfully slippery on the floor.

7:05 Lakers fans really want to see Kobe Bryant attacking the paint. That's a good sign for the Lakers if he continues to do that.

8:26 Pau Gasol really has a sweet shot. Are Mike Breen, Mark Jackson and Jeff van Gundy announcing in a damned tunnel? A bit too much reverb there.

9:50 Andrew Bynum is going back to the locker room. This should make it easier for the Celtics to come back now. Well not if they keep on missing give-me layups.

11:18 The Lakers are still working hard. However the refs decide they have lagged in the first half calling a total of 16 fouls in the first 24 minutes.

Kendrick Perkins is out for the rest of the game. It doesn't look good at all though. I would say he's doubtful for Thursday if needed.

HalftimeLakers lead 51-31. The Lakers held the Celtics to only 13 points. Ray Allen is the only Celtic in double-digits with 11 points. Meanwhile the Lakers are led by Kobe Bryant with 15 points while Ron Artest has 10. Lamar Odom has shown up with six points and six rebounds while Pau Gasol has seven points and eight rebounds.

Lakers are out-rebounding the Celtics 30-13. The Lakers bench is outscoring the Celtics bench 15-0. Both teams have seven turnovers and eight fouls.

Now excuse me while I pound some scotch.

Second Quarter0:32 The ABC censors are awfully busy bleeping out the naughty words.

0:53 Sasha Vujacic wide right. Where anything happens.

1:18 Now this game has turned to the unwatchable. It's a very delicate balance. Can we see some basketball now?

They take a commercial break on a 20-second timeout? Wow that's overkill. By the way, the Dodgers are still in rain delay. And Chad Billingsley is on the disabled list.

2:47 And there is a reason Josh Powell was left open. The Lakers have led by as many as 22, however before everybody gets too happy remember in 08 when the Lakers blew a 24-point lead.

4:19 Rondo needs to ditch the flashy bullshit. Take the ball to the hole or don't do it at all.

And we have a Josh Powell sighting in his first appearance in the Finals. Um, okay.

Lakers lead 45-27. Lakers have outrebounded the Celtics 24-10. Lakers bench has outscored the Celtics bench 13-0. Everything looks easy for the Lakers while they are making it very difficult for the Celtics to do anything.

5:23 13-0 bench points favoring the Lakers after Farmar's throw-down.

7:00 Pau Gasol flew in from the free throw stripe to grab the offensive rebound and score the put back. And Mark Jackson has already proclaimed there will be a Game 7. Note I'm not the one who jinxed anything. Hell I picked the Celtics to win in six, so I should get an award for jinxing the Celtics! Lakers lead 40-23.

And while we have a timeout, I have to say that my cable channels on Time Warner Cable still have not come back on. CAN I GET SOME GODDAMNED SERVICE? Now we return to our normally scheduled programming.

8:00 What a hustle play by Jordan Farmar! This has been by far the most entertaining game of the Finals so far. Lakers lead 34-22 with Kobe at the line for two after the timeout.

9:01 Rasheed Wallace on the bench with 3 fouls and came very close with a technical. The Lakers have the biggest lead of the game leading 34-20.

10:02 Bynum's knee still doesn't look good. But you've got to give him a world of credit for gutting it out on the floor.

11:18 Even Sasha Vujacic is in on the scoring. I have to say the Staples Center sounds so much quieter than it does during a Kings' regular season game.

Lakers lead Celtics 28-18. The Lakers are more active on both sides of the floor. Kobe Bryant leads the way with 11 points, while Ron Artest has added 8. Kendrick Perkins is in the locker room getting x-rays after fighting for an offensive rebound.

First QuarterGlen "Big Baby" Davis is in the game. I wonder if the first row will be draped with plastic like at a Gallagher show.

1:49 With Pau Gasol getting fouled and Paul Pierce complaining, it reminds me about this article on the Wall Street Journal about the amount of complaining players have done about foul calls. It turns out the Celtics are the big whiners complaining 48% of the time. The Lakers whine only 36% of the time. So who's soft?

2:55 Artest drains the three despite the crowd's protest and the Lakers lead by 10!

3:32 That was the most obvious loose ball foul I've seen in this series.

Oh and we'll see Kendrick Perkins back out on the floor in about 30 minutes. Don't worry Celtics fans.

Early stats: Both Ray Allen and Kobe Bryant have 8 points. Rajon Rondo has 3 assists and Pau Gasol has 3 rebounds and 2 assists.

Lakers lead Celtics 18-12. The pace is really favoring the Lakers. If they can keep this up, we'll be doing this again on Thursday.

5:30 Those who had Kendrick Perkins as the first big man to be receiving medical attention win the prize. I had Bynum. Sorry.

5:53 The Lakers look very energetic tonight. Even Andrew Bynum with his gimp knee is fighting for everything. It's amazing what a one-and-done game will do for a team.

7:04 Isn't it funny seeing Kendrick Perkins trying to create a shot for himself in the paint. That was an easy block by Pau Gasol.

7:52 The refs had put the whistles away early in the game. I think they found where they located them

8:25 The Celtics are starting strong on the rebound game.

I'm a little late but we're underway! It's all or nothing for the Lakers.
