One year ago, Congress defunded public media. Now that we're 100% community funded, please become a sustaining member or increase your existing membership today.

The Dodgers have added a fourth bobblehead giveaway on their 12:10 pm game on September 16 against the Pittsburgh Pirates. As a tribute to Manny Ramirez hitting a pinch-hit grand slam on on July 22 on his bobblehead night that gave the Dodgers a 6-2 lead over the Cincinnati Reds, the Dodgers will be giving away a bobblehead of Manny tipping his cap to the fans. The Dodgers will also have a limited amount of four-game Manny Bobblehead Packs on sale. Fans will be able to get the original bobblehead plus tickets to the second bobblehead game and tickets to games on August 23 against the Chicago Cubs, September 6 against the San Diego Padres and September 20 against the San Francisco Giants. Packs cost $64 for the reserve section, $80 for the lower reserve section and $120 for the field box section.

Also announced is the new "MY TOWN" section on the right field reserve level of the stadium which will honor the Dominican Republic on that second Manny bobblehead day. For $45 fans will enjoy all-inclusive Dominican-themed menu and music and will get to take home a My Town t-shirt in the colors of the Dominican Republic flag. All of the other standard Dodger Stadium fare will be available to the fans in that section also. Hell, maybe Dominican natives Rafael Furcal, Guillermo Mota, Manny Ramirez and Ramon Troncoso might come up during the game to grab some grub. Yeah.

Tickets are available on Dodgers.com, calling 866-DODGERS, visiting the Dodger Stadium Advance Ticket windows or any Ticketmaster outlet.

One year ago, Congress voted to defund public media, eliminating a critical $1.7 million from our budget every year going forward. But they couldn’t silence us, and we’re not going anywhere. LAist is now 100% community funded and that means we’re taking our future into our own hands and turning to you to keep local reporting strong.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our nonprofit newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our communities. We are free to follow facts wherever they lead and to hold power to account without fear or favor.
