Man Arrested On Rihanna's Roof, Claims He Didn't Know It Was Her House
Hey, you, get off of Rihanna's roof! A man was arrested after being spotted on the roof of the pop singer's home in Pacific Palisades.
The LA Times reports that private security spotted the man about 10 p.m. Monday and called police. Security then held the man until officers arrived and took him into custody on suspicion of trespassing. TMZ adds that the man claimed he did not know the home belonged to Rihanna.
City News Service identified the alleged trespasser as Robert Melanson, 26. He was booked on suspicion of trespassing. Bail for the misdemeanor was set at $2,882, the sheriff's department reported. He is still in custody and has apparently not met that bail, according to the Times.
Rihanna was not home at the time of the incident since she is currently in the U.K. for her Diamonds world tour.
She's had more than her share of drama on her home turf lately: In April, a caller reported gunshots inside the house in a "swatting" incident. In February, a man pleaded guilty to breaking into Rihanna’s home and sleeping in a bed he thought was hers.
Maybe it's time to move.
