Some of us love our pets a lot. Like, A LOT. And so we want to give them gifts for the holidays. And, we want even more than that -- we want those gifts to do something good for other animals, as well.

if you think that's too much to ask, think again -- NBC Los Angeles reports that Manhattan Beach company GiveBones is selling collars for $14.99 this holiday season, 10% of the proceeds from which will go to local animal organizations, beginning with spcLA.

The promotion is called "Buy a Collar, Save a Dog."

GiveBones is dedicated to helping our furry friends in need year round, on their website, their mission statement reads as follows:

Givebones is a charitable company committed to giving homeless dogs the life they deserve. By selling dog collars, Givebones provides funding to animal shelters and rescue groups striving to help dogs in need. Ultimately, our goal is to generate awareness and financial support in hopes of reducing the amount of homeless dogs being euthanized every year.
