Lindsay Lohan's New Lawyer Is Being Sponsored By A Local 'Foodie Socialite'

Lindsay Lohan's fancy New York lawyer is apparently doing all that he can to come practice in the Golden State and rep the actress. TMZ reports that Mark Heller, who Lohan reportedly brought on to replace Shawn Holley, had to get a sponsor to practice in California, and that sponsor is a woman named Lindsay Berger Sacks. Sacks is described by the gossip site as being a "foodie socialite," because of her association with a group called the Doheny Diners Club. The DDC, if you will, was described by The Hollywood Reporter in October of 2011 as "an open group that meets roughly twice a year for progressive dinners that have drawn up to 50 people" and counts among its members people who live on the Bird Streets, a hugely exclusive residential area above the Sunset Strip whose streets are named after birds (get it?).

Sacks was named as a founding member of the group.

It's not entirely clear how active the group is, or how much of a foodie Sacks is, but her Facebook page is littered with images of her schmoozing it up with the likes of Will Ferrell and Billy Crystal. She also posed for the "No on H8" campaign, which as we all know means that you are famous.

Anyway, the only catch with Heller working with Sacks is that according to TMZ, while her socializing activities have clearly kept her busy, she hasn't actually practiced law since 1996. However, she reportedly reactivated her membership to practice in the state a few days before Heller filed the legal documents to represent Lohan.

Lohan is running in some interesting circles...
