Lindsay Lohan Found Unconscious in Hotel Room, Was Suffering from "Exhaustion" [UPDATED]
We are hearing that actress Lindsay Lohan was found unconscious in a Marina Del Rey hotel, and has been transported to the hospital was treated on scene, but not taken to the hospital.
The initial report came from ABC7, who Tweeted:
#BREAKINGNEWS ABC7 has learned Lindsay Lohan was taken to hospital after being found unconscious at Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey
— ABC7 Eyewitness News (@ABC7) June 15, 2012
ABC news notes: "Paramedics were called at 10:15 a.m. PST. Lohan is currently filming the Lifetime movie “Liz & Dick” in the Marina del Rey area."
Initial reports of hospitalization were inaccurate: "Los Angeles County Fire Department officials say a crew responded to the hotel at 10:15 a.m. on a report of an unconscious person, but did NOT transport anyone to a hospital. County fire CANNOT confirm if the person was Lohan," notes City News Service.
UPDATE: According to a live report on ABC7 at about 11:52 a.m., the news station says Lohan is being assessed by doctors and her attorney assured them she was doing fine.
TMZ also notes that Lohan was not taken to the hospital, however they also have information about what may have prompted the emergency response: "We're told someone became alarmed because they could not wake her up and the person called 911.
12:15 PM: TMZ has obtained further details:
We're told Lindsay wasn't feeling well after complaining of exhaustion, she called someone from the "Liz and Dick" production team early this morning, and the team sent a private doctor to check on her. Before arriving, the doctor called the hotel and asked someone to check on Lindsay. Someone from the hotel went to her door, "checked on her" and determined she was "unresponsive." The hotel then called 911.
12:52 PM: Basically, LiLo was thirsty and working too hard (awwwwwww, right?). E! News reports:
"Lindsay has been working a grueling schedule for the last couple of days," Lohan's rep Steve Honig told E! News. "Last night she worked from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. She was exhausted and went back to her room to sleep. Producers were apparently concerned and called the fire department and paramedics found her sleeping but determined that she was fine, just extremely exhausted and slightly dehydrated. "She is on her way home now to rest and will be back on set later today."
He added that no drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
