San Jose Sharks defeat LA Kings 3-2 (OT). It’s April, so the Kings can’t hold a lead against the San Jose Sharks. Even a 2-0 lead after two periods. As the eighth seed in the Western Conference, the Kings will face the Vancouver Canucks in the first round of the playoffs.

LA Dodgers defeat San Diego Padres 6-5 (11 innings). Despite the Dodgers giving the Padres five runs in the fifth inning thanks to not being able to throw a damned strike, Dee Gordon came up big with an RBI single in the 11th to score A.J. Ellis for the winning run. Gordon was 3-of-4 with two walks while also scoring twice and stealing three bases.

LA Clippers defeat Sacramento Kings 109-94.

Phoenix Suns defeat LA Lakers 125-105. Kobe Bryant sat out with a shin injury.

Kansas City Royals defeat LA Angels 6-3. Dan Haren gave up five runs for the Angels while the Royals’ pitching staff held firm. Albert Pujols got his first hit of the season, but it was enough offense for the Angels.

Calgary Flames defeat Anaheim Ducks 5-2. The end for the Ducks was giving up goals to Jay Bouwmeester and Anton Babchuk within seconds of each other in the final minute of the second period giving the Flames the 3-1 lead.

I’ll Have Another winner of Santa Anita Derby at 4-1 odds.
