Here's a better way to celebrate the Olympics than sitting on your couch eating Cheetos and cheering on Ryan Lochte: Get out there and adopt a pet.

Local adoption agency LA Love and Leashes is hosting their first annual Adoption Olympics this Saturday, August 4, from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Westside Pavillion. The afternoon will feature dogs and cats available for adoption, an agility course, and an Olympic podium upon which to photograph your pet.

A pet behaviorist will also be available onsite.
