L.A. Libraries Are Lengthening Their Hours

The hours of L.A.'s 73 libraries were reduced in 2010 in response to city-wide budget cuts. As of Monday, though, the hours are being restored.
In a statement, the Los Angeles Public Library announced that they'll be staying open late on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and opening early on Friday mornings. The new hours will begin next Monday, October 15, and will be as follows:
Central Library
Monday - Thursday: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Sunday and holidays: closed
Branch Libraries*
Monday and Wednesday: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday: 12:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Sunday and holidays: closed
*Robertson Branch is closed Saturdays and holidays and open Sundays 1 - 5 p.m.
