Some of you are going to get really pissed off about this, but it's happening: Kris Jenner is getting a talk show. According to Celebuzz, the Kardashian matriarch will host an hour-long program that will air on FOX in a test run this summer. Twentieth Television’s Development & Programming EVP, Stephen Brown, told the gossip site that:

“Whether offering real advice to her family or sharing personal moments with viewers, Kris is honest, compelling, entertaining, and unscripted - all excellent qualities for a daytime talk show host.”

The New York Times reports that the show -- titled "Kris" -- will have a six-week run, and that if it goes well, it may spell trouble for "The Ricki Lake Show," which is reportedly likely getting axed.

FOX is also responsible for running tests of "The Wendy Williams Show" and Bethenny Frankel's show, "Bethenny."

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive before year-end will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
