Report: Joni Mitchell In Intensive Care After Being Found Unconscious At Home
Legendary singer-songwriter and Lady of the Canyon Joni Mitchell was rushed to the hospital after being found unconscious in her home this afternoon.Paramedics were called to the home of the 71-year-old Mitchell this afternoon around 2:30 p.m., according to TMZ. The 9-1-1 call reported an unconscious female but she was reportedly alert on the way to the hospital.
Mitchell is currently in intensive care, and it's "quite serious," TMZ says.
Mitchell's rep hasn't gotten back to anyone and TMZ is the only site with these details, but Variety confirmed that an ambulance was sent to the street where Mitchell lives in Bel Air.
UPDATE: Her official Twitter posted an update on Tuesday night, noting, "Joni has been hospitalized. We are awaiting official word on her condition and will post it here as soon as we know." A couple of hours later they posted that Mitchell was "in good spirits."
