Tired of living in your boring hometown? Now you can get your friends and family to foot the bill for you to move out to the big city. That's at least what is now happening on GoFundMe.com—a crowdfunding website similar to Kickstarter that allows people to raise money for life events from paying for vacations to medical bills.

After doing a search of "move to Los Angeles" on the website, we found a number of people trying to make the journey already having raised anywhere from $100 to over $2,000. The group includes typical Hollywood dreams like becoming a pop singer to a chance at a new life in a brand new city and reuniting a mother with her children in L.A.

Maybe dreams really do come true in L.A. Who needs a savings account when you can do some good ol' crowdfunding?
